How long does beech take to season?

Beech can season quite quickly if you are desperate for firewood and will burn after 9 months, but it would be better to leave it for 2 years or more to get a really good dry firewood.

A little tip: Split it while it's green as it goes rock hard when seasoned.

I would always leave beech for minimum of 18 months to get a good burn. You can burn it sooner though if you need to. Like joe said 2 years is a good time to aim for

if split and stored correctly beech will be dry in 4 months. The idea that wood has to be seasoned for more than a year is total rubbish
